Jocelyn grew up in Eugene, Oregon. Designing a house for a middle school project inspired her interest in architecture, and in 1995 she moved to New Orleans to study at Tulane School of Architecture. Jocelyn also studied Art History and Historic Preservation.
Throughout her career, Jocelyn has worked on high end residences with Ron Domin and Douglas Bock, historic preservation for Operation Comeback with Wayne Troyer at StudioWTA, forensic investigations of structures with Ladd Ehlinger at Ehlinger and Associates, and more historic preservation with Robbie Cangelosi, Calvin Rice, and Daniel Taylor at Koch and Wilson.
Jocelyn holds licenses to practice architecture in the states of Louisiana and Washington, and is presently seeking reciprocity in Oregon. She is a member of the AIA, and certified by NCARB.

Jocelyn competed in Roller Derby under the alias "Jaws". She skated with the Big Easy Rollergirls from 2005-2009 when an injury forced her off the track.

While still a child, Jocelyn rode Welsh ponies and cobs, and competed in Hunter/Jumper shows on the West Coast. She has been enjoying riding again since coming back to Oregon.
